Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care

Examples of qualifying conditions include but are not limited to:

Low Birth Weight
Failure to Thrive (poor wt gain)
Feeding problems
G-Tube / NG-Tube Feedings
Colostomy/ Ileostomy care
Genetic Disorders & Syndromes
Diabetes
Renal Failure
Injury and Abuse
Brain Injury
Seizures
Neurological Disorders
Cerebral Palsy

Sickle Cell
Cardiac Disorders
Immune Deficiencies
IV infusion Management
Chronic Lung Disease
Asthma Management
Apnea Monitoring
Oxygen Dependent
Trach Dependent
Ventilator Dependent
Post Operative Care
Organ Transplants

A PPEC is a center for care during the day for medically complex and/or technologically dependent children and it must be prescribed by a physician. Children ages 0-21 will be cared by a team of skilled pediatric professionals and can receive therapy services.
